Bowling State of Mind
(by David Loti & Andy Venuto)
I've got my name on my shirt. It’s also on my bag and ball. I’ve got my orange and yeller shoes with the hot green shoestrings on. I’ve got my special leather glove. I’m joining my five closest friends. Once a week you will see that I am in a bowling state of mind.
I’m in a bowling state of mind. I’ve got my worries left behind. I’m gonna throw this ball on down the lane and try to knock pins down. And if you never see me frown when I am on this side of town it’s because there’s no room for troubles in a bowling state of mind.
Some nights I’m throwing gutter balls. Some nights I’m making turkey calls. Some nights I’m hoping to break double digits by the final frame. I’m working on 7-10 splits. I’m getting cancer in my lungs. In this life I’m bowling 300 in a bowling state of mind.
Meow.
