Right Now There Is No Other Song

It’s been a long, tense day. I reach my home at last. I’m thankful for this sanctuary where I can relax. Kicks and keys hit the floor before the door is even closed. To pause my mind as I unwind I meet my stereo.

Right now there is no other song.

Healing for my worn down soul comes through a simple song. It doesn’t have to be profound. I just want to sing along and take a break from all this mess to filter out the junk and noise. Forget the world I left outside and take in life’s simplest of joys.

Song builds you up when life takes you down. There is no other song in the world right now.
